Anthony Dalton

Born 1929
Artist

Studied at Southend College of Art for 4 years. Worked as an illustrator in London Studios for 6 years followed by 16 years freelancing as an artist/designer and part-time Graphics Lecturer at Southend College of Art.

Moved to Norwich (where he lives) in 1968 to found a Design Group from which he returned in 1990 to concentrate on Fine Art and work as a background artist for an animated film.

Apart from Yellow Submarine sequences & advertising & educational films, has just finished a commission to produce backgrounds for the new animation / live-action feature film "prince Valliant" (to be distributed by Pathè world-wide).

Is a keen walker, climber and sailor, and draws upon these activities to produce landscapes and seascapes - also draws and paints from the nude.

Fellow of The Society of Artists & Designers (SIAD). Served for some time as Industrial Art Advisor to the Examinations Board of The London University as Graphic Design Consultant to the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts and also the UEA. Has served as a Governor to Southend College of Art, Yarmouth School of Art and also the Norfolk Institute of Art & Design.
